Scarecrows for a Cause
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Gilroy Gardens is dedicated to supporting creativity, education, and community connections. That’s why we’re inviting local nonprofits to join the Halloween fun at Scarecrow BOO-levard!
Only 20 slots available—if you are selected to participate, your nonprofit organization gets to bring and decorate a scarecrow on Tuesday, September 22. This is a great chance to showcase your group’s creativity and Halloween spirit!
Scarecrows will be on display throughout The Great Big BOO (Sept 25 – Nov 1). Every participating nonprofit will earn up to 100 FREE tickets valid for all events through December 31, making it a festive way to celebrate and give back.
Scarecrow BOO-levard Rules
Gilroy Gardens is a safe and family-friendly place, and we expect all scarecrows to reflect this. Please review the following rules before bringing your festive creation to the park. All scarecrows must also follow general park rules.
Scarecrow Guidelines:
- No weapons of any kind (including toy or prop guns, knives, or sharp objects)
- No blood, gore, or violent imagery
- No offensive language, symbols, or themes
- No glass items or breakable materials
- No electrical wiring, open flames, or hazardous materials
- Decorations should be securely attached and able to withstand outdoor conditions (wind, sun, etc.)
By following these rules, we’ll ensure Scarecrow BOO-levard is a fun and welcoming experience for all guests!
