Where Passion Meets Purpose

For years, our dedicated Docents have helped bring the park to life by sharing fun facts, stories, and the wonders of nature with guests. Their passion and knowledge create deeper connections and lasting memories, supporting our mission to educate and inspire through the beauty of the natural world.

Over the past 25 years, more than 3,000 incredible Docents have generously volunteered their time at Gilroy Gardens, contributing over 227,000 hours to support our mission of education and enrichment. In 2024 alone, we’re proud to have 130 active Docents continuing this amazing legacy of service and community engagement.
