Gilroy, CA (April 14, 2026): As part of Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park’s first-ever celebration for National Garlic Day on Sunday, April 19, 2026, all Gilroy residents can purchase deeply discounted tickets for just $12 per person plus $12 parking. Working in partnership with Christopher Ranch and the Gilroy Garlic Festival Association, Gilroy Gardens will host a number of family-friendly garlic-themed events.
Author Ken Christopher will be reading his book Elephant Garlic at 12pm in the Lakeside Amphitheater and distributing FREE copies of the book to children after the reading. The Gilroy Garlic Festival Queen Pageant will also be held in the Lakeside Amphitheater from 1:30- 4:30pm, open to all guests at the park. The queen and her court will represent Gilroy at various events and the Gilroy Garlic Festival on July 24-26, 2026 at Hecker Pass Outdoor Events Center.
Meanwhile, in the Events Plaza from 11:00am to 5:00pm, park guests will be able to purchase limited-time garlic menu items, including Garlic Cheese Curds with Garlic Aioli Dipping Sauce, Meatballs in Hot Honey Garlic Sauce, Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings, Chicken Tenders in Sesame-Garlic Sauce, and Penne with Sun Dried Tomato Pesto Sauce. Volunteers from the Gilroy Garlic Festival Association will also be providing FREE garlicky favorites including garlic bread and garlic ice cream. Guests can also enjoy a meet-and-greet with the Gilroy Gardens garlic bulb mascots, Gil and Roy.

Gilroy Gardens is currently open weekends from 11am to 5pm. National Garlic Day festivities on Sunday, April 19 are included with regular park admission or Membership. Gilroy residents must show proof of residency at the front gate to claim special pricing of $12 tickets for up to six (6) guests.
