Special Memories Wanted: Gilroy Gardens Collecting Photos and More for 20th Birthday Celebration

December 17, 2019 (Gilroy, CA): As Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park gets ready to celebrate its 20th season in 2020, the park’s organizers are collecting photos, videos, and other magical memories from guests who have grown up with the unique horticultural theme park.

A new online portal,, has been created to make it easy for guests to contribute their own favorite photos, videos, and family memories. The materials will be used to create new “Memory Spots” throughout the park for the 2020 season and may also be featured in other park promotions. As an extra incentive, everyone who contributes memories will be entered in a drawing to win a family pack of four 2020 Premium Card memberships.

Barb Granter, Executive Director of Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park, said “We are planning to celebrate our 20th season in 2020 with the biggest and best birthday party ever! As part of that celebration, it was very important to us to include our guests’ special memories of this very special place. Whether you remember visiting Gilroy Gardens as a kid, a parent, or a grandparent, we’d love to hear from you!”

Photos, videos and stories may be submitted online at All submissions must be in digital form, in as high resolution as possible. Each household can submit up to 3 photos or videos and up to 3 stories from the last 20 years at Gilroy Gardens. To be eligible for the prize drawing, content must be submitted by December 31, 2019.

Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation and California’s only horticultural theme park.
