Grownups Get In On the Fun During Harvest@Night at Gilroy Gardens
October 24, 2017 (Gilroy, CA): This November, for the first time ever, Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park will be hosting the Harvest@Night Beer, Wine and Food Fest. This night-time event features craft beers, fine wines, gourmet food, and live bands. In addition to its regular daytime hours, the park will be open for Harvest@Night on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings from 6:00 to 10:00 pm from November 3 through 26. For Veterans Day Weekend (November 10-12) only, Gilroy residents can attend the special nighttime event for just $10.
As the sun goes down, the entire park will light up with a warm autumn glow. Guests are encouraged to stroll through the park to marvel at the majesty of Sycamore Bridge, the serenity of Claudia's Garden, the lush beauty of Monarch Garden, and the romantic Lakeside Trail. At the Marketplace, guests can gather to sample craft beers, fine wines, and gourmet food and enjoy fun games and crafts for all ages.
In nearby Mission Plaza, live bands will be performing each night. Popular local brother-and-sister duo The Pfeffers will kick off opening weekend (November 3-5), followed by Aubrey and Luke (November 10-12). Modern country band Candie & Eight Second Ride takes the stage November 17-19, and a fourth band (to be announced) will close out the event's final weekend (November 24-26). Between sets, guests can take a thrilling ride on the Quicksilver Express Mine Coaster, enjoy the views from atop the Panoramic Wheel, or take a ride through the park aboard the Bonfante Railroad.
Gilroy Gardens General Manager Barb Granter said, "We're so excited to build on the success we've had in October with Halloween@Night and bring something brand new to Gilroy Gardens. While kids are of course always welcome at Gilroy Gardens, we've really designed this event to appeal to the 21-and-over crowd. We invite Gilroy residents to take advantage of the special offer and come out and join us for drinks, dancing and more-and then help spread the word about Harvest@Night!"
The gourmet food selections will include Roasted Pork Sliders with Apple Walnut Aioli; Fried Chicken Wings with Cranberry Glaze; Butternut Squash, Lentil & Wild Rice Stew; Turkey Pot Pie; and Elotes (grilled Mexican street corn topped with mayonnaise, chili powder & Cotija cheese). For dessert, guests can choose from fresh-baked Apple Crisp or Pumpkin Bread Pudding.
General admission at the gate for Harvest@Night is $30, or as low as $20 when purchased in advance online. Gilroy Gardens 2018 Premium Passholders are admitted for free. The Veterans Day special rate of $10 is offered to Gilroy residents who present a valid form of ID showing a current address (November 10 through 12 only). Most rides will not be running during the night-time event.
Harvest@Night is the second of three night-time events that Gilroy Gardens has planned for 2017. In October, families enjoyed spooky fun during Halloween@Night. In December, Holiday@Night will feature visits with Santa, ice skating under the stars, a live Charlie Brown Christmas Show, twinkling holiday lights throughout the park, and a grand holiday feast with all the trimmings.
