| Gilroy Gardens Volunteer
Docents
Gilroy Gardens is a a non-profit educational institution
whose mission is to educate and inspire families, especially children,
to appreciate horticulture and the importance of trees in our lives by
providing fun and memories in a beautiful garden setting.
The Park
is currently seeking interested volunteers to share their many talents
with our Guests and serve as ambassadors in our six themed gardens. No previous experience is required, on-site
training is provided. It's a perfect experience for all ages.
Our fun and exciting training program covers park
information such as park history, directions, show times and dining options.
As a volunteer, you will also learn interesting facts about the gardens
to share with visitors. Did you know that the oak tree is home to numerous
animals and insects? Have you seen a banana or coffee tree lately? Sharing
facts and lore about our unique environment will ensure that guests of
all ages gain an appreciation of a low-tech resource -- nature!
We
encourage interested parties to contact the Docent Coordinator at the
information provided below. No commitment is
required to call. Make an appointment to come and see what our volunteer program is all
about!
