GILROY, CALIF (March 24, 2009) – Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park, a non-profit organization and California’s only horticultural theme park, officially opens on April 04, 2009 for its 9^th Season with beautiful Spring Flowers and a children treasure quest. Guests who visit the park from April 4^th – May 31^st can experience our Secret Treasures Event where Guests are treated to a fantastical display of spring flowers throughout the Park, a children’s Treasure Quest, and the opportunity to meet and take photos with your old pal “Gil” the Garlic Guy. The Secret Treasures Event is FREE with the price of admission and runs Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00am to 6:00pm, plus Friday, April 10^th and 17^th, and Monday, May 25^th, and also from 11:00am to 5:00pm, Monday, April 13^th through Thursday, April 16^th for Spring Break.

Treasure Quest takes place each day from 11:00am-5:00pm. The Quest begins at Sugar Plum Plaza where children 12 & under can hunt for hidden prizes throughout the Park. Treasure maps will lead little ones over bridges, through gardens, around giant strawberries and down secret paths to find delightful prizes.

Spring is the perfect time to visit the Park’s beautiful and blooming gardens, or to stroll through our Garden Sales and shop for a variety of garden accents, supplies, and flowers at Hall's Mercantile’s very own “sidewalk sale”.

Pay ONCE and get FREE admission for the rest of the 2009 Season! Front Gate Admission Tickets are just $42.99 but for even greater value, turn your Front Gate Admission Ticket into a LOTSA CARD! Just purchase a full-priced Front Gate Admission Ticket, take it to our Processing Center on the day of your visit and enjoy the rest of the 2009 Season for FREE! The LOTSA CARD is only $32.99 for children and seniors (ages 3-6 or 65 and older). Guests can also upgrade to a Membership Card to get free parking, member guest days, special park discounts, and so much more!
