EXPERIENCE OUR PETTING ZOO & PONY
RIDES DURING CREATURE KINGDOM EVENT
(August
22nd –October 25th) GILROY, CALIF (August 25, 2009) – Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park, a non-profit organization and California’s only horticultural theme park, officially opens its Creature Kingdom event on August 22, 2009. The event features all your favorite barnyard animals: chickens, ducks, goats, rabbits and even a Llama! This petting zoo is designed just for little ones by “Pony Up!” and comes complete with photo opportunities and Farm Show Demonstrations several times a day. For the safety and care of the animals, hourly access is limited with an additional charge. Entrance into the barnyard is $5.00 per child. All money goes to the care and feeding of the animals. Free Elements: Farm Show at 1:00pm, 3:00pm and 5:00pm, Photo Opportunities with “L'il Buckaroo” saddles on hay bales and a “barnyard cartoon mural” where little one's faces can poke out and appear on animal bodies. Little ones can also hand feed goats & chickens from viewing area.
Pony Up! has designed a junior riding experience like no other. Cowboy hats with safety helmets, vests and chaps, lots of photo opportunities and specialty safety saddles for the smallest rider. This isn’t just a Pony Ride; it’s a toddler’s first trail riding experience! Pony rides are $10.00 per child. Funds go directly to the care of the animals.
