GILROY, Calif. – (May 2, 2008) – Get ready to celebrate Memorial
Day, Independence Day and every day in between during Gilroy Gardens
Family Theme Park’s 2nd annual “Red, White & Cool” celebration,
May 24 through July 6.
Guests visiting Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park during “Red, White &
Cool” are in for a one-of-a-kind, ‘All-American’ summer celebration
that’s sure to delight the entire family. Guests will be treated to
thousands of spectacular red, white and blue patriotic floral
arrangements and displays. Park goers can also take advantage of the
“Red, White & Cool” merchandise sale at Hall’s Mercantile featuring a
wide-variety of patriotic gifts, including garden accents, flowers,
t-shirts, hats and more.
Plus, Memorial Day weekend (May 24 – 26) and Independence Day weekend
(July 4 – 6), take part in an old-fashioned, all-you-can-eat summer
barbecue in the patriotically-themed Special Events Plaza. For a nominal
fee, families can enjoy traditional summer fare including barbecue
chicken, all-beef hot dogs and a variety of other mouth-watering
favorites. Tickets are available for purchase day-of or in advance at

In addition, Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park is also inviting all
military, veteran, fire, police and emergency personnel to take part in
our “Red, White & Cool” celebration. From May 24 – July 6, our nation’s
heroes can present a valid military, veteran, police, fire, or emergency
ID and receive free admission for themselves and 50% off up to six
full-priced general admission tickets for family members.
Front Gate general admission tickets (ages 7 – 64) are only $41.99 and
for an even greater value, turn your full-priced general admission
ticket into a 2008 LOTSA CARD! Simply purchase a full-priced admission
ticket, have your photo ID made and enjoy the rest of the regular 2008
season for free! The LOTSA CARD is only $29.99 for children and seniors
(ages 3 – 6 or 65 and older). Guests can also upgrade to a Premium Pass
for exclusive perks, such as free parking and merchandise discounts.
