GILROY GARDENS FAMILY THEME PARK CELEBRATES THE MAGIC OF THE FALL SEASON DURING
SECOND ANNUAL “HALLOWEEN TREASURE HUNT”
GILROY, Calif. – (Oct. 7, 2008) – Get ready to experience a
treasure hunt unlike any other, plus celebrate the magic of the autumn
season during the return of Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park’s Halloween
Treasure Hunt. This popular family-friendly fall celebration takes place
every Saturday and Sunday through Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
In addition to the Park’s collection of exciting rides and attractions,
families can enjoy:
• Treasure Hunt – Taking place throughout the Park, children ages 12 and
under can pick up a special treasure map that will lead them to various
locations where they will receive special treasure.
• Hay Maze –For our youngest guests, the kid-friendly hay maze returns
and allows young boils and ghouls the opportunity to zigzag their way
through hay bales without the frightful fears!
• Scarecrow Alley – Sycamore Bridge will be transformed in our annual
Community Scarecrow Alley, where more than 30 pirate-themed scarecrows
created by community organizations and businesses will be on display as
guests enter the Park.
• Merchandise Sale – Hall's Mercantile will be a one-stop shopper’s
paradise for all things Halloween. From pumpkins to an exciting array of
Halloween novelty items, guests will want to take advantage of
incredible savings during this “sidewalk sale.”
• Gil Meet and Greet – Guests will have an opportunity to meet Gilroy
Gardens’ mascot costume character “Gil.” Dressed in his Halloween best,
Gil will be available for guest photos at the Park’s entrance plaza.
• Halloween Camp Night – Guests will once again have the opportunity to
camp over night on October 18 and 19. The Halloween Camp Night includes
three full meals, plus a wide-variety of exciting activities.
Participants will camp in our tree-laden group camping area on Saturday
evening, and then enjoy the Park on Sunday and will be able to
